Meeting cousins in Iseo

Yesterday morning we left Tirano and took another very slow, steep and winding route East over a mountain ridge. We stopped to bake some shortbread in the Remoska, freshen up and have lunch by a lovely crystal clear stream on the way.
Then we descended South through a series of long tunnels toward Lago d’Iseo.
We drove past Iseo to Paratico, where my cousin Ramona lives, had an aperitif there with her and her partner Ronni.

Then went into Iseo to meet my other cousin, Emanuela, and her partner, Danilo, for some delicious burgers.
Today we loitered in and around Ramona’s house, did lots of laundry (thank you Ramona), a fair bit of work, and went for a run round Paratico and its rather unusual Bosco Taxodi. Then we set off on an uncharacteristically long, straight motorway drive bound for Padua.
