A bit of bimbling about Babbacombe
Babbacombe lies within the bounds of Torquay but feels like its own place. We had some top-notch fish & chips with a stunning view and then a lovely stroll down the steep wooded embankment down to the beach and back. It felt very serene (I suppose we are off season)… not much activity at the beach at 7pm other than a couple of people water skiing on the crystal-clear water, and a few guys attempting to catch some mackerel (but not having much luck due to a seal taking their fish from their lines at the first opportunity). This plaice is definitely worth a visit, though we had haddock and hake.
